OUR STORY
Cove Church was established in 1996 and founded on a calling to build a church focused on authenticity. Though we’ve grown from one campus to a family of churches, that authenticity remains a central value in the fulfillment of our mission to help people discover hope, develop faith and demonstrate love.
NETWORK
Cove Church is part of Cove Church Ministries (CCM), which was founded with the vision of catalyzing and equipping a family of churches in the Tennessee Valley. The related churches that make up CCM are united by shared values, beliefs and the mission of helping people discover hope, develop faith and demonstrate love by following the way of Jesus.
Cove Church Ministries is also part of the Foundry Network, a group of independent churches rooted in the Wesleyan tradition. The Foundry Network is made up of accountable relationships that are simple and clear and provide opportunities for the member congregations to learn, encourage, support and advance the Kingdom of God together.
BELIEFS
God
We believe in one living God, who exists as three persons in one: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe in redemption through Jesus Christ. In Him, God became human. His life, death and resurrection demonstrate God’s love and desire to be in relationship with us.
Holy Spirit
God is active and present in our lives through the Holy Spirit. It is through the Holy Spirit that God leads, supports and comforts us.
Human Beings
The Bible asserts that we were created in the image of God. Like Him, we can give and receive love, communicate and create.
Grace
Grace is the undeserved love of God. We believe that grace penetrates every part of a Christian’s faith and life.
Church
The church is a community of believers who extend the ministry of Jesus into the world today.
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the ultimate and primary authority for our faith and should guide our thoughts and actions.
God’s Reign
God actively rules. His kingdom is eternal. Our present reality and our future hope rests in this belief.
