The heart of Cove has never been the buildings themselves, but what God does through the people who gather here. For 30 years, Cove has been a place where people have found hope, grown in faith, and experienced the love of Jesus through His people.
Our next chapter begins now.

Forward is a $6 million capital campaign designed to create greater capacity for ministry,
invest in children and families, strengthen our financial future, and prepare our property
for new ways of serving the Huntsville community.

Forward is not a collection of separate projects happening on the same campus.
We see God weaving all of this together, creating a place where ministry,
care, and community intersect.

Commitment Sunday
Sunday, November 15 | 9 & 10:45am | Worship Center
On Commitment Sunday, we’ll come together in worship and prayer as each of us has the opportunity
to make our personal commitment to Forward.

FORWARD IN FREEDOM $2 million
Debt Elimination
Each generation has sacrificially invested to expand the reach of our ministries. These investments have allowed us to purchase our property, construct buildings, and preserve Cove’s future through disaffiliation.
Becoming debt-free will allow us to redirect approximately $200,000 each year from debt service directly into ministry opportunities such as future staffing, young adult ministry, a residency program, and other new opportunities in the years ahead.
Eliminating our debt builds a stronger financial foundation for the generations that follow us, continuing the legacy of faithful investment that has shaped Cove for the past 30 years.
FORWARD IN FAITH $1 million
Kids Cove Renovation
Forward gives us the opportunity to thoughtfully reimagine and renovate the Kids Cove wing, making better use of the space we already have, increasing capacity where we need it most, and preparing for continued growth.
The renovation will improve check-in, accessibility, and traffic flow while creating more room for our growing nursery and preschool ministries. Relocating the Infant Nursery closer to the Worship Center and reconfiguring existing classrooms will help us better serve children and families at every age.
Forward will also create a dedicated sensory room to support children with additional needs and refresh learning environments throughout the wing.

FORWARD IN HOPE $1 million
Hope Springs Counseling Expansion & Workshop Relocation
Forward will repurpose approximately 2,300 square feet of existing workshop and storage space in the back of The Well into a new headquarters for Hope Springs Counseling.
The new space will include private therapy rooms, reception and administrative offices, and room for additional counselors as the ministry grows. Flexible therapy rooms will also provide small-group space for Cove Students on Sundays, with confidential areas remaining securely separated.
This expansion will allow Hope Springs to serve more individuals and families while laying the groundwork for an integrated center of care that brings together counseling, pastoral care, support groups, education, and community partnerships.
To make room for the Hope Springs expansion, Forward will help construct a new facilities workshop and storage building on our campus.
FORWARD IN LOVE $2 million
The Village at Cove
Through partnerships with Kids to Love and Make It Matter, along with shared spaces for gathering, recreation, and connection, we envision a place where people can experience the love of Jesus in tangible ways. We can work together to bring hope, healing, and practical support to vulnerable children, young adults, and families.
Forward will help lay the foundation for this vision by preparing the land and investing in essential infrastructure and shared spaces as funding and partnerships develop.
The Village at Cove is an opportunity to use what God has entrusted to us to bless our community for generations to come.

The Village Partners & Initiatives
Make It Matter believes in a future where every young person aging out of foster care is surrounded by belonging, opportunity, and home, not left to navigate adulthood alone.
Through its 614 Initiative, the organization will provide young adults aging out of foster care with the stability, relationships, and practical support they need to build a future for themselves.
At The Village at Cove, Make It Matter will operate a three-story apartment community designed to serve 32 local young adults transitioning out of foster care.
Participants will typically spend about two years in the program as they take steps toward independence.
Cove Church will have opportunities to rally around this community through mentoring, spiritual encouragement, facilities support, and other practical needs. Local business owners can also play an important role by providing safe, supportive places for these young adults to work, learn, and grow.
Through foster parent training, mental health services, and practical support, Kids to Love is helping vulnerable children and families find hope and stability.
One of the greatest challenges in foster care is finding families who have both the willingness and the resources to welcome children into their homes. Some are ready to foster but lack the space to accommodate additional children, especially sibling groups.
Through The Village at Cove, Kids to Love plans to build and operate five homes designed specifically for foster families. Kids to Love will recruit, train, and license the families, with up to six foster children living in each home.
These homes will offer more than housing. They will provide a stable, supportive environment where children who have experienced trauma can receive the care, encouragement, and sense of belonging they need.
Cove Church will have opportunities to come alongside these families through hospitality, tutoring, prayer, and practical support.

About Forward
Forward is a three-year capital campaign. Commitments may be fulfilled throughout the campaign period, allowing you to participate in the way that works best for you.
Funds raised will first be used to fully fund the projects outlined in Forward. If those projects are completed within current cost estimates, any funds raised beyond our $6 million goal will be set aside for the next phase of Cove Church’s development.
Our Projects & Ministry Partners
We are currently in the design phase of the Kids Cove renovation and plan to break ground as early as summer 2027 in accordance with the overall campaign progress.
Kids Cove will continue meeting throughout the renovation. Because the project will be completed in phases, our team will make temporary adjustments to classrooms and traffic flow while continuing to create safe, welcoming environments for children each Sunday.
Phase I of The Village at Cove will focus on preparing the property for future ministry partners. This includes essential infrastructure such as roads, utilities, water and sewer access, electrical service, grading, drainage, and site preparation. The timing of individual partner projects will vary based on plans, funds, permits, and each organization’s readiness to build and begin operations.
Yes. Cove Church will retain ownership of the property while leasing it to the organizations that will operate and oversee their individual programs.
After more than a decade of prayer, board conversations, and meetings with city and industry leaders about how to best steward and develop our property, a pivotal moment came in the spring of 2025. During a visit to a church in the Nashville area that was bringing a similar vision to life, we were inspired by what God might want to do on our land.
When we returned home, a series of conversations and connections began to unfold in ways that can only be explained by God. Those conversations ultimately connected us with each of the partners who are now helping bring this vision to life.
Kids to Love, Make It Matter, and Hope Springs Counseling each serve some of the greatest needs in the community with extraordinary vision, excellence, and passion. We are grateful and excited to partner with them as we pursue kingdom impact together.
The goal is to leverage the 36-acre property that God has entrusted to Cove for missional purposes to serve people beyond Sunday mornings.
Through partnerships with trusted organizations, The Village at Cove can provide space for nonprofits serving vulnerable children and families, young adults transitioning out of foster care, and people seeking hope and healing.
Ultimately, we want this property to become a place where Cove and community partners work together to meet needs and demonstrate the love of Jesus.
Debt Reduction
Since 2011, Cove Church Ministries has reduced its debt from approximately $4.9 million to $2.5 million through years of faithful generosity and disciplined stewardship. Cove Church currently carries approximately $2 million of that debt, while River Hills Church carries approximately $500,000. Those investments have allowed us to purchase property, build facilities, and preserve our church’s future through disaffiliation. Forward includes a significant investment in further reducing that debt, strengthening our financial foundation and freeing more resources for ministry.
Reducing this obligation creates greater flexibility for the future and allows Cove to direct approximately $200,000 of its annual budget toward serving people, strengthening ministries, and responding to new opportunities.
